Four credits
of English are required for a student to earn an Archbishop
Rummel diploma, while students in the Advanced Honors
curriculum
earn five English credits. Students may be placed into the
Honors English program at the time of their admission into
Archbishop Rummel or at a later time, if their performance in
the academic classes merits such a move. Students who are
placed into honors classes adhere to a demanding curriculum
of advanced reading and composition and are held accountable
to a greater level of proficiency in a standard-based
curriculum than those students in academic and basic tracks.
Furthermore, honors students may be eligible for Advanced
Placement (AP) testing their junior and senior years. |
