PROCEDURE: Call and introduce yourself
as a member of the Rummel Band Program, and tell them that you
were recommended by your band director to study privately with
them. If no answer, try, try again. If you get an answer
machine, leave a polite message and be clear about where and
when they can call you back and at what phone number. Be on time
for each lesson, be prepared for each lesson, and pay on time
for each lesson.
EVERYONE should consider
private lessons. They are the single best way to improve your
individual musicianship at the fastest rate. Players who study
privately currently occupy honor Bands, All-State, and section
leader positions and this can be you once you've dedicated
yourself to improving through private instruction. Who better
to learn from than the experts in the field that we have
recommended above? Remember that private lessons are required
for membership in Symphonic Band. Good luck!
