POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Welcome to the Archbishop Rummel High
School Band, a co-educational organization in conjunction with
Archbishop Chapelle High School. Congratulations!
You are now a member of one of the finest bands in the state of
Louisiana. Pride and success are staples of our program, and
this handbook will outline how to become a contributing member of
this proven process. Read this handbook carefully, share it
with your parents, and use it as a reference often during the year
so that you will be sure to make your Rummel Band experience a fun
and successful one.
Although this book may seem very long, it has been prepared so that
you will be able to be the best band member you can be. Please
read it carefully as some of the information may not apply to you.
However, there are a few simple ideas that if you follow, you can
make yourself and your band both enjoyable and something we can all
be proud of:
1)
Always know what is
going on,
a.
Where it's going on,
b.
When it's going on,
c.
And why it's going on,
2)
Always be on time,
a.
With the proper
materials,
b.
Ready to do whatever is
on the agenda for the day,
3)
Always know your part,
routine and/or marching,
a.
Do them to the best of
your ability everyday, everywhere,
And Above All...
Always be proud in what you do. Remember, few people can do what you
do in band, it takes talent and skill, and no one can take that from
you.
