1.
An Etude
or exercise of your choice from a method book or solo for your
instrument. (1 ‑ 2 minutes in length) Avoid sheet music and
pop/rock songbooks. Elementary honor band material is
ideal.
2.
Any two
Major Scales that you may know and the chromatic scale: as high
and low as you are able to play.
3.
PERCUSSION
– Snare Drum – RUDIMENTS/SOLO: Single stroke roll, Double
stroke roll, Five stroke roll, Flam-a-cue, Paradiddle and One
snare drum etude or solo. PERCUSSION –Melodic -
Play the scales listed in #2 and one prepared solo or etude for
melodic percussion.
Remember
we will not be able to
complete your schedules until we
have auditioned you and can
recommend you for a class. Please
be sure to show up one
of these times to audition!
