the Officers did a fantastic job in preparing for
the day!
Food, Fun and a lot of teaching going on - even though
we had a little rain in the afternoon.
GREAT JOB to all the new students on learning so much in
a short period of time!

Shirt Design
City of Angels (the Broadway Production) is the
music for this year's competition show. If you are
interested in providing a shirt design for this year's
show shirt, please draw one and turn it into one of the
Directors. In year's past we have had only one
design, lets change that for this year!!
Deadline to submit is the LAST DAY OF BAND CAMP!

Lanyards
Returning Members - start looking for your lanyards
from last year. If you have lost yours, email Ms.
McCarter so she can get one available for you to
purchase. You will ALL need your Rummel Band Lanyard.
New Members will receive on for the new members
fundamentals day.

Foundations for Superior Performance
This book is required for ALL members of the
advanced Band (excluding percussion)
Please have this book for band camp. You will be
using excerpts from it for technique warm-up EVERYDAY!

ACT
PLEASE schedule to take the ACT before or after the
October 25th date. October 25th is the Showcase of
Marching Bands competition in Lafayette. We would
like to NOT have any conflicts. Please plan ahead!

Grading
Policy
The grading Policy will be changing for the 08-09
Academic Year. Please note, any students not in
attendance in a timely fashion with ALL required items,
will receive NO credit for the performance.
However, He/She WILL be required to participate.
This policy will also be in effect for all
practices/rehearsals and other performances. Start
getting all of your required items organized. Flip
folder, dot books, the correct color socks, shoes etc.
