Genesian Players
Named for St. Genesius, the Roman Comedian and Christian martyr, the
Archbishop Rummel dramatics club is responsible for the drama
program at the school. The Genesian Players are governed by a board
of directors which includes four major officers from the student
body. Those officers are the following: president (a Rummel senior),
a vice-president, secretary, and treasurer.
Also included are the representatives of the area schools
participating. Finally, the board is inclusive of the moderator. A
dedicated Genesian Player may accumulate enough points to earn a
letter and finally a letter jacket. The organization was founded in
1963 and produces three shows a year. The Genesian Players season
ends with Geni Night. Acting awards, technical awards, and awards
for outstanding service are presented at this semi-formal affair.
