National Honor Society
Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who maintain a cumulative 3.50
GPA or better and who demonstrate qualities of character, service
and leadership may be nominated to join the National Honor Society.
To be inducted into the Society after nomination, candidates must
submit proof of membership and participation in several school
organizations, such as Key Club, Student Council, Campus
Ministry, Raider Hope, Operation Headstart, Band, Genesians, Sports
Teams, Library Club, WRHS, etc. Nominees must also be approved by
the faculty.

The purpose of the National Honor Society is to create enthusiasm
for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, and to
promote leadership and the development of character. Club activities
include an induction ceremony during the third quarter, tutoring
service throughout the school year, and other school or community
service projects. In order to maintain membership, all students must
uphold the principles of the NHS as stated in their pledge and
detailed in the first paragraph.
