Open House
An Open House for
prospective applicants and their parents is held each fall
showcasing the school’s academic and extracurricular programs.
Faculty, staff, and student representatives are present to answer
any questions visitors may have. The date for this year’s Open
House is
Thursday, November 2, 2006.
The Archbishop
Rummel Open House is a "must-see" event for prospective students. At
this event, prospective students will see the school at its finest.
Every visitor will be treated as a V.I.P. as he passes through the
halls during this special occasion.
The tour of the
campus begins in the Raider gymnasium where every extracurricular
activity and athletic sport will be presented. Available are flyers,
stickers, literature, and the coaches, moderators, or involved
students. The tour continues into the Raider Room or Food Court.
Inside, the visitors will hear presentations by school
administrators and students.
After the
presentation, tour guides will escort the visitors to their next
destination. A faculty member and several actively involved
students, who will bring the visitors through the school buildings
to meet the chairpersons of each academic department, lead each
tour. Not only will visitors be able to learn what superior
academics the school has available, but also they will see the
actual textbooks, workbooks, and activities the classes utilize each
day.
Once the tour has
reached the Junior High Campus, the visitors will be able to see the
cutting edge technology and religious aspects of Archbishop Rummel.
In the computer lab, visitors will be able to see the prestigious
school web site, student made computer projects, digital images of
the Open House, and the computer applications available on each
computer.
At the end of the
tour, visitors will be brought to a massive tent celebration behind
the junior high to receive refreshments and dessert treats while a
jazz combo performs. Prospective students are strongly encouraged
to witness this spectacular and elaborate event. Open House is so
extremely effective that many of the applying students interviewed
commented that the Open House was their deciding factor when it came
to choosing
Archbishop
Rummel
High School
as their school of choice.
