The Archbishop Rummel Alumni Association is
happy to announce that Mr. John Giardina, from the class of 1990, will
be the new President of the Rummel Genesian Booster Club. The GBC was
created to support the Archbishop Rummel drama club, and the Genesian
Players. The Booster’s major contribution is the underwriting of the
Players award night. Throughout the school year, the Boosters sponsor events that are designed to bring graduated Genesian Players to the campus. The Booster year culminates with a Genesian Player Alumni production staged during the summer months. These productions have proven to be very successful. Giardina is the third GBC president following Susan Ameen and Spencer B. Harris from the class of ‘67. Mr. Harris will remain on the board. In 1996 John earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans. In March of 2003, John, along with fellow alumni Joey Hunter (90) and Mike Hunter (96), purchased John’s Tuxedos-the formalwear shop where they worked while in college. John resides in Metairie with wife Renee and their three daughters Courtney, Brittney and Lynsey. |
