The Civil Sheriff of Orleans Parish recognized the heroic efforts of Deputy EDMOND G. LAFOURCADE, III, by promoting him to the rank of Sergeant.  Edmond, from the class of ’82, is a fifteen year veteran with the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association and is a member of its S.W.A.T. Team.  He received this honor, in part, due to his heroic work during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.  Edmond attributes his hard work ethic to his father, but he also gives credit to Coaches Don Perrett and Larry Schneider for teaching him how to win the “ Big Ones.”  Congratulations, Edmond Lafourcade, ’82
