Gene Guillot '02

Gene Guillot, Valedictorian '02, graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University of New Orleans on Saturday, April 29. Mr. Guillot's 3.95 grade point average also earned him honors as the top graduate in Print Journalism and as Kappa Tau Alpha honoree as top graduate in the entire School of Journalism.

While at Loyola, Mr. Guillot was the managing editor of The Maroon, Loyola's newspaper. He has also worked in the sports section of The Times-Picayune for the past four and a half years. Mr. Guillot's father advised that Gene never had to take an English course at Loyola because his Archbishop Rummel education had prepared him so well. Gene also served as Editor of the Raiders' Digest.
