Ash
Wednesday
Ash Wednesday is the day set aside
by the Church to remind us that Lent
is upon us and now is a time for
repentance as we prepare for Easter
and the Risen Christ. Catholics
across the world receive ashes on
their foreheads as a symbol that
from ashes we come and to ashes we
shall return.
