Valentine Luncheon
The librarians honored outstanding
Reading Counts participants and
Library Club members at a
Valentine’s Luncheon. Sixty-three
Reading Counts participants were
honored for reading a minimum of two
free choice books totaling 3000+
words with 85% or higher scores.
Participating Social Studies
teachers and the English teachers
with the highest number of
outstanding readers also attended.
Ms. Richardson, Mrs. Weiss, Ms.
Lobrano and the honorees would like
to thank Mr. Irv Barousse for
preparing a delicious lunch of
meatballs and pasta, corn, salad,
and dessert.The boys also drew
numbers for prizes. A great time
was had by all who attended. n the
late Spring the librarians and the
Grandparents Club will once again
honor and reward the outstanding
readers of the second semester. At
the end of the school year, the
Grandparents Club will present
monetary awards to the top readers
in each grade level who have read
over a million words.
