Seder Meal
Freshman
students in Mr.
Theron Ferry and
Mr. Carl
Guggenheimer’s
religion classes
participated in
a Seder Meal on
campus
recently. The
meal explained
to students the
relationship
between Jewish
roots and
Christianity.
The freshmen
were told that
this Passover
Seder,
celebrated
during Holy
Week, was Jesus’
Last Supper.
Each student had
a plate before
him with
unleavened
bread,
horseradish, a
mixture of
fruits, and a
green vegetable,
all symbolic of
the Seder Meal.
Students read
aloud during the
meal and their
religion
teachers
explained the
various aspects
of the meal
The Seder Meal
is a traditional
meal celebrated
annually during
Holy Week by
members of the
Archbishop
Rummel religion
department.
