Last month the New Orleans Sugar Bowl honored 19 metro area student for their performance on the field and in the classroom. Two honorees were seniors Tarek Balamane and Matthew Fury, both football players. The reception was held in the New Orleans Marriott Hotel and accompanying the Raiders were head football coach Jay Roth and administrators John Gabriel, Phil Greco, James Paci, and Michael Scalco.
