Message from Principal Michael Scalco 

ATTENTION:  Parents of juniors and seniors  at Archbishop Rummel High  School   

 In class meetings this week, representatives with the Jostens Company explained in detail the options available to seniors for graduation announcements as well as other items and to juniors the options for their class rings. 

The senior meeting on Monday, December 3rd, dealt with graduation supplies and caps and gowns.  Each senior was given a packet to take home for discussion.  Each senior also filled out a form reserving a cap and gown for his graduation on Sunday, May 18th, at the Pontchartrain Center. 

Seniors will order these supplies during their lunch period on Wednesday, January 9th, and Thursday, January 10th, in the Raider Room.    

The junior meeting on Wednesday, December 5th, provided all the necessary information to the juniors for ordering their senior rings.  Each junior was given a packet that contained all the information.

A reminder about the Fall Athletic Awards ceremony
The Archbishop Rummel Concert Band will host its annual Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 6 in the school gymnasium.  Students will hear the band during an AM Schedule on Thursday, while the public is invited to the gym for a 7 PM concert that evening.
 
The school’s Office of Institutional Advancement will host its annual Celebrity Waiters Luncheon on Friday, December 7, beginning at 11 AM.  The luncheon will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton New Orleans Airport Hotel.  The luncheon funds activities of the school’s Renaissance program.
 
The Grandparents Club will hold their monthly meeting on Saturday, December 8 in the Raider Room.  All Raider grandparents are encouraged to attend the 10 AM meeting.
 
Upcoming athletic events
Raider Craig Steltz, ’04, is one of three finalists for the Jim Thorpe Award.  Support Craig by voting for him in ESPN’s annual college football vote.  Click here for the link.
