The Christopher M. Segari Memorial Band Building

Located between the cafeteria and the Gymnasium, it serves as a place for the band to practice for upcoming games, concerts and competitions.   In addition to housing the award-winning Raider Marching Band rehearsals, this building is also used for all intermediate and beginning band classes on campus.  Also holding some rehearsals in this facility is the Chapellette Dance Team, LéMur Winterguard, Cadet Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Band, Jazz Workshop and the Rummel Indoor Percussion Ensemble.  Lining the walls  you will find pictures, banners and trophies from previous years.  The Raider Band Room serves as music central for all of Rummel.

The Story of Christopher M. Segari

Chris Segari was a member of the Archbishop Rummel High School Class of 2003. His life was cut short in a tragic car accident on November 29, 2002. Chris was a talented snare drummer in the Archbishop Rummel High School Band and had been a member since his freshman year. He was a leader both by example and in sprit. His dedication to the band along with his caring personality, a willingness always to help his friends, and his wittiness made him a favorite among all of his friends, both in the band and in the student body. The band building was dedicated to and renamed for Chris during late 2004. His spirit and memory lives on and will always be a part of the band’s makeup.
