The Yearbook staff has
probably one of the hardest jobs on campus. Headed by moderator
Mr. Bill Arthurs, the yearbook staff compiles photographs of the
Archbishop Rummel community and produces a memory book for the
student body. Mr. Arthurs and his team of about four or five
students can be seen taking pictures at every major social
function. The students have to get the pictures developed and
decide which pictures go where. As it does every year, the
yearbook closes out its year with pictures of the Senior Prom,
Eighth Grade Graduation, and Senior Graduation. Raider staff
members then continue working into the summer to complete the
Archbishop Rummel Yearbook. The yearbook can be purchased by
pre-order at the beginning of the school year at Book Day.
The yearbook serves five major functions at Archbishop
Rummel: it is a memory book, a history of the school year, a
resource/reference book, a public relations agent, and an
educational training experience for its staff.
The yearbook staff works all year long recording the events and
experiences that make up a year at Archbishop Rummel. There are
only a few staff openings each year, but any student interested in
photography, copy writing, page design, reporting, data entry,
graphics, or proof reading should investigate the possibility of
being selected for the "Raider" yearbook staff.
