Immediately after school on Friday, March 5th, the recently-elected officers of next school year's Archbishop Rummel Key Club traveled to Baton Rouge for a training conference. Key Club is the largest high school service organization in the world. The conference, sponsored by the LaMissTenn District of Key Club International, was held at the Crowne Plaza and brought together around 300 students from Louisiana, Mississippi, and west Tennessee.
On Friday evening, officers attended general sessions on team-building and leadership. On Saturday morning, they participated in workshops focusing on the responsibilities of specific positions within each club. The officers who made the trip were President Dylan McGovern, Recording Secretary Jamie Muller, Corresponding Secretary Josh Thibodeaux, and Treasurer Trac Le. Also an officer next year is Vice President Brian LeBlanc.
Any students interested in finding out more about joining Key Club should speak to one of the officers or attend a weekly meeting in room 121 at the 2nd half of lunch on Thursdays.
