Admissions Process: Checklist for Parents and Students
Thursday, September 13
The Archbishop Rummel High School Application becomes available online at www.rummelraiders.com. The form is to be completed online anytime before Friday, December 14, 2012.
Thursday, October 25
The Archbishop Rummel Open House begins student led tours at 6:00 p.m. This is a good time to meet teachers, students, and administration as well as see the many academic and extra-curricular activities that are offered at Archbishop Rummel High School.
Monday, November 12
The high school application form will be available for downloading from the Archdiocese of New Orleans website (www.arch-no.org) in the School Section or from the Catholic elementary school principal. Print out the form and return it to the Catholic elementary school at which you are enrolled. For students not enrolled in a Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, print out the form, attach copies of available school records, and then send it to Archbishop Rummel High School.
- Students may only apply to one school.
- Admissions application forms may also be downloaded from www.rummelraiders.com.
On the reverse of the application form, parents, by their signature, grant permission for several actions, including the following:
1.allowing elementary school administrators to share student records with high schools
- allowing elementary school administrators to share verbal information about stude nts with high schools
- allowing all other high schools (that may have openings) permission to view for consideration the records of a student who has not been accepted by the school he or she selected on the front of the application form
Wednesday, November 14
High School application forms are due to Catholic elementary schools office. Non-Catholic school students must send application and records to Archbishop Rummel High School in order to apply.The Archbishop Rummel High School application is due to the Admissions Office by Friday, December 14, 2012. The application is to be completed online @ www.rummelraiders.com.
Saturday, January 12
All applicants must attend Application Day at their selected high school as indicated on the front of application form. Archbishop Rummel High School does NOT offer deferred admissions for grade 9. Students already in high school eighth grade programs who wish to remain in that high school, do not need to attend an application day or pay a new application day fee for grade 9.
No student can attend more than one Application Day event.
January 2013
The Admissions Office will begin family interviews. All applicants are required to attend his family interview before an acceptance decision will be made. Applicants will be notified of his interview via mail.
Tuesday, February 19
The Admissions Office will mail letters to all applicants to notify them of their acceptance decision.
