To finance numerous Rummel Renaissance projects, the annual Celebrity Waiters Luncheon was held in December, 2010, at the
Airport New Orleans Hotel in Kenner. A standing-room-only crowd of waiters and guests filled the hotel’s Grand Ballroom and witnessed many large tips to the celebrity servers. The waiters entertained their table guests and competed with other waiters for the most tips. At day’s end, First NBC’s Ashton Ryan topped all other waiters with the most money collected. The lunch was emceed by Fox 8 sports anchor Rob Ennis, ’00, who kept the lunch and auction moving at a steady pace. Organized by Ms. Marion Muhs, advancement coordinator, and the advancement office staff, this year’s Celebrity Waiters Luncheon provided enthusiastic waiters, generous table guests, and necessary funds to continue the school’s promotion of academic excellence.
