Every student of Archbishop Rummel High School is expected to participate in a retreat each year. The retreat program builds directly on the curriculum being studied in each grade level’s theology class and has a direct thematic connection to the school’s mission and LaSallian tradition. An outline for each grade level retreat as well as the dates follows (Please note there may be circumstances which cause the dates to change).
8th Grade: “In the Holy Presence of God learning what it means to belong.” The eighth grade retreat introduces students to and gives a sense of belonging to a new school community, a LaSallian community and a global community. Rummel’s Retreat Team comprised of the senior campus ministers of Archbishop Rummel organizes and facilitates this retreat with the goal of exposing the students to the joy of faith in belonging to a community.

The goal at this level is to increase the students’ awareness of how faith in God and prayer are vital to becoming a strong and independent young man who thinks and acts in a way that cooperates with God’s grace.
