Sacraments and Prayer

Celebration of Liturgy
On a monthly basis, the entire Archbishop Rummel student body, faculty and staff have the privilege of attending mass or a special prayer service as a family.  Parents, alums, and friends of the Rummel community are always welcome to join us in prayer and celebration of the liturgy. During the 2012-13 school year, these “all school masses” or prayer services will be celebrated on the following dates:

Friday, September 14th (Mass for the opening of the school year)
Friday, October 19th  (Living Rosary)
Thursday, November 1st  (Mass in observance of the Feast of All Saints)
Thursday, December 13th (Christmas Mass)
Monday, January 28th (Mass to begin Catholic Schools’ Week)
Tuesday, February 19th (Lenten Mass and opportunity for Sacrament of Reconciliation)
Thursday, March 28th (Living Way of the Cross)
Tuesday, April 16th (Mass of Solidarity)
Thursday, May 16th (Mass for the closing of the school year)

In addition to these opportunities for mass and prayer, mass is also celebrated in the school’s chapel during each week.  The times for these masses are:
Monday and Friday:  7 AM
Tuesday and Thursday:  During the first half of the lunch period

 Eucharistic Adoration
Beginning Friday Sept. 7 and continuing on the first Friday of each month, the Archbishop Rummel community has the opportunity to attend Eucharistic Adoration in the chapel.  Eucharistic Adoration is that time set aside when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed ( placed in a monstrance on the altar) so that individuals can quietly be in prayer and be still in the presence of Our Lord.

On the first Friday of each month, Eucharistic Adoration will begin in the Archbishop Rummel Chapel following the Friday morning mass (6:45am).  Individual students, classes, faculty will be in prayer throughout the day.  Parents, grandparents and friends are also invited to visit the chapel at anytime throughout the school day to pray in Adoration.

Please feel free to use the rosaries, Bibles, spiritual reflections that are available in the chapel.

Sometime during the time of personal prayer, please pray for the students of Archbishop Rummel High School .
