The long-standing Archbishop Rummel High School Renaissance program is being reenergized for the 2010-11 school year. The program exists to reward students for excellence in education.
Renaissance also sponsors a catered on campus lunch for all students who attain a grade point average of 4.0 or better, a breakfast for all honor roll students, and off campus lunches for students who earn straight A’s.
The annual Celebrity Waiters Luncheon, which was held on Friday, December 3 at 11 AM at the New Orleans Airport Hilton, is sponsored by Renaissance in order to fund the program. Alumni, local business and political leaders, and other friends of Archbishop Rummel serve as guest waiters for the event. Current Raider student ambassadors assist in all aspects of the event.
The Renaissance program is a unique Archbishop Rummel experience that keeps looking at creative and innovative ways to continue to reward Rummel students for excellence and achievement.
