Archbishop Rummel High School is proud to resurrect the Renaissance-sponsored College Tour.  The 2008 College Tour will run from May 28th through June 7th

Students in 9th, 10, and 11th grade who are in good academic, attendance, and discipline standing are welcome to attend.  Priority will be given to upperclassmen with spots limited.

A tentative itinerary will be distributed at a lunch time meeting for students on Wednesday, March 5th.  The tour will include stops at the following schools: University of Alabama, University of Georgia, Georgia Tech University, Clemson University, University of Virginia, North Carolina University, Duke University, Wake Forest University, Georgetown University, Belmont Abbey College, Davidson College, University of Richmond, and Washington and Lee University.

In addition to school visits, the following activities are scheduled to be included: a tour of the Washington D.C. area, whitewater rafting, hiking, and a major league baseball game.

Students will travel by chartered bus and the tour will be chaperoned by Archbishop Rummel faculty members.  The final cost of the trip will be set as soon as an idea of the number of students who are interested in attending is established.  The cost will probably be in the $750 range and will include the chartered bus, hotel accommodations, and the group activities listed above.

Students will need spending money for meals and any souvenirs they purchase.  Some group meals may be covered depending on extra funds available.  Most hotels will have complimentary hot breakfast available.

A deposit will be due in the near future.  The amount of the deposit and the due date will be given to students at the March 5th meeting.

Once all travel and visit details are finalized, a parent meeting will be held to pass along all information about the College Tour.
