Congratulations and special thanks to Raider Matthew Tetlow '19 for receiving the rank of Eagle Scout and completing his Eagle Scout project to install a new flag pole at the Raider Wrestling Facility. Matthew planned his project, solicited donations, and secured help from fellow Raider students and scouts for the installation of the new flag pole. Matthew's Court of Honor was held Saturday, October 1, where he received his official rank.
Congratulations to all of our Raider Band Alumni and Alumnae who have gone on to continue showing their talents in college! We have a total of thirteen alumni in college bands representing seven different universities.
The Raider Band is a co-educational program unlike any other Catholic high school band in the New Orleans metro area. Our directors work to form an alliance that fosters a uniquely inclusive experience for our students and our community. Click HERE to see their names and pictures.
Congratulations to Raider Alumnus Justin Lorio '17. Justin was selected to be an LSU Ambassador. He was a five-year Raider Ambassador who routinely gave tours, helped to host Spend-a-Day and Open House, and worked many non-profit events for the community. The LSU Ambassador application process consisted of two interviews, an application, and written recommendations. Many were turned down, but Justin was selected.
Saturday, October 21, members of Archbishop Rummel’s Key Club joined students from other area high schools to volunteer for the ALS Foundation Walk. This year, Rummel students manned the registration tables, distributed information, and assisted the participants in preparing for the walk. The purpose of the walk is to raise money to support the efforts of the ALS Foundation which is instrumental in providing the ALS patients with equipment, information, and any additional assistance. Appreciation goes to Raiders Brad Waguespack, Nick Lout, and Sal Hattier for their volunteer support for this cause.
Congratulations to Spencer Mullen '18 for making the All-State Concert Band and Noah Vicknair '20 for making the All-State Jazz Band.
