Service Opportunities
This page will post service opportunities that were not included in the Service Directory. If you would like to participate and were not able to list any of these on the Student Proposal Form, you can send an e-mail to Mr. Mark Firmin at mfirmin@rummelraiders.com. Any change in the Student Proposal Form or addition to the proposal must be made in writing. If you have any questions or need more information, you may see Mr. Firmin in Room 106 or call him at 834-5592 ext 249. Check back for updates to this page throughout the year.
Any students wanting to work with the National World War II D-Day Museum must first contact Mr. Firmin before contacting the museum. If you are interested in volunteering there, you must see Mr.. Firmin in Room 106.
Volunteering at Animal Rescue New Orleans:
There are new scheduling procedures for all students with the shelter because too many volunteers are arriving to work at one time. It is raising safety concerns. Parents should not just drop off students without scheduling them and checking in with the supervisor of the shelter as you drop them off. If there are too many volunteers that day, you may be asked to leave and schedule another day. Older students should not just arrive without scheduling.
For now, do not schedule through the website. We are being asked to schedule our time through Melinda at e-mail mimiolsen@bellsouth.net or phone 985-974-8985. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Firmin in Room 106.
