Alumnus of the Year 2017 and Raider Legend 2017
Mr. George Rucker '67
Alumnus of the Year 2017
In 1967, George Rucker was the first of many Ruckers to graduate from Archbishop Rummel High School. After graduation, he remained very active with his alma mater, serving as the Alumni Association's first president. Mr. Rucker continued serving on the alumni board for many years, garnering the longest running board member status. Another significant contribution was sending his four sons, George Jr. '91, Paul '96, Matthew '00, and Mark '04, to ARHS.
Bro. John Fairfax, FSC
Raider Legend 2017
Long-time assistant principal and principal of ARHS, Bro John is a pillar of the school's 55 year history. Many of the traditions that are still honored today were started by Bro. John during his tenure as an administrator at Archbishop Rummel High School. Bro. John, in all of his years at ARHS, never met a student that he didn't personally know his name. Bro. John was not able to attend the Rummel Day celebration so Mr. Don Stout filmed a message from Bro. John to the Raider community.
