Monday, November 13, 2017
Created by the White House to teach life-saving skills to people outside the medical community, the Stop the Bleed program was introduced to students and faculty in the Bio-Med and biology classes. The training focuses on using tourniquets, gauze, and pressure to stop bleeding caused by trauma injuries. In one lesson, senior Shane Brotherton applied a tourniquet to school disciplinarian Mr. Richard Carpenter.
