30 years
JAY ROTH
One of the state’s most successful football coaches is our 30-year honoree, Mr. Jay Roth, former Head Football Coach and now Athletic Director. A 1981 Rummel alumnus, he returned to Archbishop Rummel High School in 1995 and guided his football Raiders to numerous district and state football championships. In 2023, Mr. Roth was inducted into our own Alumni Association’s Athletic Hall of Fame; and in 2024, he received the prestigious honor of being inducted into the LHSAA Hall of Fame. Today, Mr. Roth oversees the entire athletic program.
20 years
NICK MONICA
Our 20-year honoree is a man who coached two varsity teams to state championship appearances in one year- our current Head Football Coach Nick Monica. Coach Monica has been part of eight Catholic League Championship teams, five undefeated regular seasons, and three State Championship football teams. Prior to becoming our Head Football Coach, he also served as Rummel's Head Baseball Coach, where he led the Raider baseball team to two State Championship appearances. In 2019, his last year as head baseball coach and first year as head football coach, he led both teams to state championship games, with the football team earning a State Championship title.
