Genesians Executive Officer Induction
The Archbishop Rummel Genesian Players held their Executive Officer Induction and General Meeting for the 2022-23 academic year on Wednesday, August 17.
Director of Theatre Mr. Brandt Blocker ‘90 introduced Assistant Genesian Moderator Mrs. Emily Carmadelle and the newly elected executive officers: Co-President Diego Swonger ‘23, Co-President Michael Villella ‘23, Vice President Meredith Charbonnet (Mount Carmel Academy), Major School Representative Morgan Gaudet (Archbishop Chapelle), and Minor School Representative Leah Gilmore (St. Mary’s Dominican). Each officer pledged their leadership and support to the Players and received the Genesian Players crest pin blessed by Rummel Chaplain Fr. Andrew Gutierrez.
After a celebratory ice cream social in the faculty dining hall, Co-Presidents Swonger and Villella led the Lasallian March to hang a tapestry of St. John Baptist De La Salle in the Genesian Theatre. The tapestry is from the Christian Brothers’ Generalate In Rome.
The Genesians were updated on membership affairs and upcoming events by Mr. Blocker, welcomed by the newly inducted officers, and informed of rehearsal policies and etiquette by Genesian Choreographer Ms. Karen Hebert.
