Geni Night 2022
The 57th annual Geni Awards, celebrating outstanding achievement in theatre arts at Archbishop Rummel High School, was celebrated Friday, May 13,, 2022 in the Raider Room. Voted upon by their peers and audience members, Genis were presented to Senior Joshua Williams as Outstanding Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Seymour in “Little Shop of Horrors,” Mount Carmel Academy Junior Meredith Charbonnet as Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role for her portrayal of Audrey in “Little Shop of Horrors,” Junior Noah Flynn as Outstanding Actor in a Supporting Role for his portrayal of Orin Scrivello in “Little Shop of Horrors,” and Dominican Eighth Grader Leah Gilmore for Outstanding Actress in Supporting Role as Sophie Sheridan in “Mamma Mia.” Senior Matthew Delaune and Dominican Freshman Chloe Tilford were awarded Outstanding Genesian Technicians and Junior Andrew Perdomo received the Unsung Hero Award.
Senior Gabriel Cobar and Homeschooled Senior Sophie Cruze were awarded the Charles Guajardo Outstanding Genesians award. The 2022 Genesian Alumnus of the Year was presented to Mr. Marc Fouchi ’94, and the 2022 Pillar of Support was presented to Head of School Marc Milano, 90.
Dinner was provided by Abita Café and dancing followed the awards ceremony.
