Robotics Team Competes in Redstick Rumble
Congratulations to the Raider Robotics Team that were Runner up winners in the Dow Red Stick Rumble Regional Tournament in Denham Springs on Sept 13th. After a slow start in the preliminary matches, the Raiders defeated all teams in the tournament with the exception of the champion Denham Springs. The Raiders were led by Kolby and Kyle Torres, Dominic Bua, drivers - Robbie Chong and Tyler Asevedo and technician Christian Parades-Mateo. The Raiders were mentored by Mr. Jim Goebel class of '77.
The Raiders also competed this summer in the Mandeville Northshore Knockout Tournament and played in the semifinal round on July 19th. The team was led by Ethan Diaz, Erik Lively, and Rileigh Welsted in addition to drivers Robbie Chong, Kolby and Kyle Torres, and Dominic Bua.
The robot for these contests were designed and built by last year senior officers Josh Sofio, Brandon Nguyen, Willam Salvaggio, Carlos Arostogui, and Ethan Alonso.
