SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE ARTS

Beginning with the incoming Class of 2031, students who participate in band or theatre arts will have the opportunity to apply for one of the ten scholarships offered valued at $2,000 each.

To qualify for the Scholarships for the Arts, applicants must be a NEW student who is accepted to Archbishop Rummel High School. He must also be in good academic and discipline standing with an unweighted 2.5 overall GPA and must participate in the band or Genesian Players upon entrance to Archbishop Rummel High School.  The scholarships will be reviewed and renewed each year with academic, disciplinary, and participation qualifications.

For theatre recipients, students must commit to active participation in the Genesian Players. While a scholarship does not guarantee a role in a production, participation must be shown by auditioning for, and performing in, both main stage productions. If the student is not cast in the production, he will be considered for, and required to accept, a technical, stage management, or house management position on the production. If a position is not available or assigned, scholarship recipients must then complete at least three work crews for that production. All position assignments will be under the sole discretion of the director of theatre with consultation of each scholarship student.
