Class of 2030 and Class of 2031 Summer Orientation
Each year incoming 8th and 9th graders are invited to attend Summer Orientation. After spending time in classes and sharpening their skills before the new school year begins, new students spent a day with Student Council where they learned the Fight Song and Alma Mater and played team building games. New students also took part in a full day of service, putting faith into action. They served throughout the community at Arc of Greater New Orleans, Second Harvest Food Bank, and by preparing meals for those in need. They learned that giving of yourself doesn’t always mean grand gestures; it means serving others with compassion, generosity, and love. For the last day of Orientation, new students attend an etiquette lesson followed by a lunch at Austin's Restaurant.
Summer Enrichment is organized and directed by Mr. Matthew Kennedy '14.
