Rummel's Writing Center Launches Student Peer Tutoring
This year Rummel's Writing Center has launched its Student Peer Tutoring Initiative. At the end of last year, fourteen Raiders were selected to participate in this program, and after completing a three week training workshop, these tutors are ready to collaborate with student writers in a meaningful dialogue throughout the writing process. The goal of the Peer Tutors is to empower students to become successful writers by taking ownership of their own writing. In addition to working with student writers, the Center will sponsor other activities which will help to promote and encourage Raider Writers and support writing across the curriculum.
