Challenged to the best of his abilities.

Our mission challenges each student to develop and share his unique talents, to the best of his ability. Our academic programs reflect this mission.

Nine departments. One faculty.

Teachers here know their students by name. A good many of them are Raiders themselves, back in the building they grew up in, teaching in the place they still call home.

Theology

A five-year curriculum faithful to the Magisterium, guiding students from Sacred Scripture and the Person of Christ through the sacraments, the Church, morality, and Catholic social teaching, culminating in Christian vocations.

Chase Rodrigue, Chair

English

Where it takes them

The Class of 2025 was offered $10,191,452 in scholarships, and that is before TOPS.

The core curriculum. Subject by subject.

Rummel requires more than TOPS and the state of Louisiana. Theology the whole way through, and each student serves over 100 hours in the community.

The Writing Center

Revise. Assess. Format. Transcribe.

Any period of the day, a Raider can sit down with someone who will work through a draft of a lab report, essay, or even a paragraph.

Students leave the writing lab knowing how to improve their writing.

Two tracks. One standard.

Both tracks are college preparatory. Placement is based on test scores and student performance in the classroom.

The Honors Track

Honors work across every core subject, along with AP and dual enrollment courses during sophomore, junior, and senior years. Students must maintain an A or B average.

The Academic Track

Courses are taught at a typical high school pace to better prepare students for college. Students take the core classes along with electives.
