Swimming is one of the most demanding sports in the building. The team is in the water every afternoon from August, and races September through November for district and state honors, as individuals and as a team.
It is a sport with nowhere to hide: the clock is the whole scoreboard. Raiders who commit to it tend to leave their names on the record board.
Four straight years of individual state champions, two of them with state records.
Thomas Vanderbrook won state in the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke with state records in both. Adam Coignet took the 100 breaststroke title in 2017.
