Student journalism since 1962.
The first Raiders’ Digest went out in November 1962, typed on a single sheet, with the news of a school only two months old: a paper drive, the first clubs, the dedication of the building, a gymnasium going up next door. Every issue since has been reported, photographed, written and edited by Rummel students.
By 1970 Rufus rode the masthead and the staff was bringing home awards from the Louisiana Scholastic Press Association. Inside these pages are homecoming courts, championship extras, new faculty, the spring play, the quiz bowl team, and the name of every senior in every graduating class the paper covered. If you went to Rummel, you are probably in here somewhere.
