Tennis is open to grades 8 through 12, and eighth and ninth graders may join the varsity team regardless of playing ability. Practice runs September through April, with match play from February through the regional and state tournaments in May.

Before match season, practice covers mechanics and strategy from the ground up, so the boy who has never held a racquet and the boy who plays year round both have somewhere to go.
