The journey of a lifetime starts here.

Every date, every dollar, and every step it takes to get him here. Rummel enrolls new students in eighth grade and in ninth, and this page follows whichever one is yours.

What he has earned. We will honor it.

Five entrance scholarships, renewable every year he keeps up his end. Roughly one in five new students receives one. Open any of them for what it actually takes.

For a total score in the 98th or 99th percentile, on either the sixth grade TerraNova NEXT or the Academic Assessment.

He also needs all A’s and B’s on his elementary report cards, and he keeps the award by holding a 3.5 unweighted GPA in the honors curriculum. New students entering eighth or ninth grade only.

Apply before the January assessment · Beginning with the incoming Class of 2031

The same award one band down: a total score in the 95th, 96th, or 97th percentile on the sixth grade TerraNova NEXT or the Academic Assessment.

Same terms otherwise. All A’s and B’s coming in, and a 3.5 unweighted GPA in the honors curriculum to keep it.

For sons of a parent or legal guardian employed full time by an Archdiocese of New Orleans organization. If you teach in a Catholic school, this one is for you.

Proof of full time employment is required. No test score attached to it.

Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, for new and current students

For a new student who plays in the Raider Band or performs with the Genesian Players. Ten are awarded, by audition.

He needs a 2.5 unweighted overall GPA and has to actually participate. Theater recipients audition for and perform in both main stage productions.

Auditions required · Beginning with the incoming Class of 2031

One St. Ann School student from each incoming eighth grade class, privately funded by the Segreto Trust.

He must be a practicing Catholic in good standing at his school, and his family active parishioners of St. Ann Parish. A panel chooses each year’s recipient from essays submitted by the nominees.

For incoming St. Ann School students
Three things families miss. He has to be accepted to Rummel before any academic scholarship is awarded. He may hold an academic award or an arts award, never both. And scholarships do not cover fees, which means registration, Advanced Placement testing, and dual enrollment are still yours. Awards together cannot exceed the tuition.

How to Apply

Rummel takes new students into eighth grade and into ninth, and the two do not sit the same test or file the same paperwork. Pick the grade he is entering. Open any step for what it involves.
