First Week Back to School
August 13-15, 2024
During the first few days of the 2024-2025 school year, new 8th graders attended one day with the campus all to themselves, while all of our Raiders attended Benediction on their first day. At the conclusion of the first full day of school for all students, the Raiders gathered in the gym for Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction. Chaplain, Fr. Andrew Gutierrez '11, led the Raiders in a litany to the Sacred Heart and then a prayer of enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the school's campus. The image of the Most Sacred Heart calls to mind the human heart of Jesus overwhelmed with merciful love for his people and can be viewed in the hallway by the main entrance to the school.
During students' second day of school, students celebrated the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Mass presided over by Father Andrew. At the conclusion of Mass, Father Andrew said a special blessing for Mr. Matt Caire '03, as Mr. Caire begins his first year in his new role of Head of School.
