Geni Awards Night 2024
Since its inception in 1963, the Archbishop Rummel Genesian Players have offered thousands of students a rich opportunity to learn, grow, and excel in all areas of theatrical arts. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or part of weekend work crews, our Genesians have dedicated countless hours to perfecting their craft, forming lasting friendships, and creating memorable experiences. The commitment required to memorize lines, lyrics, choreography, and cues—coupled with the literal and metaphorical sweat that goes into preparing for opening night—has consistently enriched both participants and audiences for over six decades.
In 1965, Founding Director Mr. Charles “Chuck” Guajardo, affectionately known as Mr. G, initiated the Geni Awards to honor the hard work and accomplishments of his players. The Genesian Players proudly continue this tradition, adding a new chapter to our storied legacy in theater at Archbishop Rummel High School.
We recognize the outstanding achievements of individuals who have distinguished themselves through peer and audience votes, celebrating their exceptional contributions to the Players throughout the year. Congratulations to the nominees and winners!
