The Raider Band and Chapellettes

The Raider Band represents a storied tradtion of instrumental music education in the heart of Metairie, Louisiana. For over 50 years, the band has developed young musicians into men and women of character.
In accordance with the missions of Rummel and Chapelle, the Raider Band provides a "caring, disciplined environment" that motivates each student towards the "best of their ability and their unique talents."

All parents and students should regularly check the official band calendar.

The band calendar can be accessed directly in your browser or subscribed to on your phone, computer, or other device. To subscribe to the calendar copy and paste the following URL into your device's calendar app to make sure you are always up-to-date with what's going on.

SUBSCRIBE TO THE CALENDAR
The band calendar contains all performances, rehearsals, trips, auditions, and other events throughout the year. If you would like to have a relevant event added to the calendar (for example, a middle school concert), please contact a director and we can arrange it. NOTE: Because we work with two schools and many outside organizations, the band calendar is subject to change. We do our best to update the calendar well in advance, but make sure to check it often.

HONOR BANDS & CAMPS

​Rummel and Chapelle students participate in a number of competitive and invitational ensembles and camps throughout the year. We strongly encourage students to pursue these "out-of-school" opportunities throughout their high school careers.

​COMMUNICATIONS

We are now using the "Band" App as our primary method of quick communication. All members, both Band and Chapellettes, must join our "Band" group in order to receive highly important alerts and announcements. The app can also potentially serve as a hub for photos, important files and documents, and another place where the calendar can be accessed. Students and parents can both sign up for the App using the following link:

Archbishop Rummel High School educates each student according to the principles of the Catholic Church in the Lasallian tradition of faith, community, and service.
