Tennis

Archbishop Rummel offers a tennis program for grades 8 – 12. Students in eighth and ninth grade may join the varsity tennis team regardless of their playing ability. The tennis team practices from September – April and begins match play in February. During the months prior to match play, the team will be taught the mechanics and strategic aspects of the game of tennis. During the competitive tennis season, the team will compete against 16 other schools, and participate in the regional and state tournaments in May.  If a student is interested in another sport in addition to tennis, there will be no problem with working around that sport, especially since the Rummel team practices almost year round.
Tennis is coaches by Mrs. April Montalbano.
