Track and Field


The Raider Track and Field season begins in January and concludes with the Outdoor State Championship in early May. All students are welcome to tryout and any student participating in another LHSAA sport may come out upon completion of their season. There are three divisions: Junior High (8th and 9th Grade), Junior Varsity (Grades 9th-11th), and Varsity (Grades 9th-12th).  Students are able to tryout for any of the 18 events.

The Field Events are as follows:
Javelin, Discus, Shot Put, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault.

The Running Events are as follows:
100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, 3200m, 110m HH, 300m IH, 4x100m Relay, 4x200m Relay, 4x400m Relay, ​4X800M Relay.

Indoor Track Events are as follows:
 60M Dash, 4X200M Relay, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, 60M High Hurdles, 200 M Sprint, 400 M sprint, 1600M Run, 3200M Run, 800M Run, 4X800M Relay, Pole Vault, 4X400M Relay.
